- Arrive
You arrive
Come to Sandnes Bibliotek in Kulturhuset, Elvegata 27. Take the lift or stairs up and follow the signs — someone from the club will be at the door to meet you. Arrive from 16:45 if you'd like a chat first.
- Start
We start at 17:00
The meeting opens with a welcome and a quick round of introductions. You'll be invited to say your name and where you're from. That's it — one sentence is plenty.
- Speeches
Prepared speeches
Two or three members give speeches they've worked on. Some are polished, some are nervous. That's the point: everyone here started somewhere.
- Table Topics
Table Topics
Short, unrehearsed answers to a surprise question. Guests are welcome to try, but only if you want to. Saying 'I'll just watch tonight' is completely normal.
- Evaluations
Evaluations
Members give friendly, specific feedback on what worked and what could be better. This is where most of the learning happens.
- Finish
We finish by 19:00
Stay for a chat afterwards if you like, and ask us anything.
Visiting is free, and there's no obligation to join or to speak. Meetings are held in English, and members come from all over the world — many of us are not native speakers either.
